BUTTERSCOTCH PIE
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 generous tsp. Flour
1 egg yolk
1 egg white, beaten
1 c. milk
Boil sugar and butter until
soft. Beat egg yolk well. Add it to the flour. Then add milk.
Beat until very smooth. Add this to sugar and butter; cook until
it thickens. Pour into baked pie
shell. Beat egg white. Add 1
tablespoon sugar and vanilla. Spread over pie and brown.
