BAKED HAM

Small smoked ham
3 cloves garlic
1 bay leaf
2 whole onions
Garlic powder
Yellow mustard
1 box dark brown sugar
1/2 bottle molasses
1 can pears, cut up into pieces with juice

Boil ham and bring down to a simmer (use enough water to cover top of ham). Simmer for 3 hours with onions, garlic and bay leaf. Take ham out of water and remove outer skin, leaving fat on (there shouldn't be much). Sprinkle garlic powder all over the ham, rubbing it in. Then spread a thin layer of mustard all over the garliced ham. Mix together 1 box of brown sugar with a half bottle of molasses (approximately 3 ounces). Coat ham, pour almost all over ham, saving remainder for later. With toothpicks, put fruit on top of ham. Pour fruit juice on bottom of pan. Pour remaining molasses mix on top of fruit. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
