CRANBERRY BREAD
Sift together 2 and 1/3 cups
flour, 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup sugar. Stir until moistened, 1 egg,
slightly beaten, 3 tablespoons melted shortening and 3/4 cup
orange juice. Stir in just until blended 1 teaspoon grated lemon
rind, 1/2 cup chopped black walnuts, 2 cups halved cranberries.
Bake in greased 8 1/2 x 5 x 3 inch pan in 375 degree oven for 50
minutes or until done. Serve next day.
